The Emerald Isle might be 3,000 miles across the "pond," but on St. Patrick's Day, everyone on Long Island is Irish. Get your green on at these festive holiday parades and events that are recommended by our real estate agents

  • Massapequa Chamber of Commerce St. Patrick's Day Parade - Broadway Ave., Massapequa, NY 11758
Create a special memory for your family when you attend the inaugural Massapequa Chamber of Commerce St. Patrick's Day Parade. The first of what promises to be an annual event begins on Broadway and Jerusalem Avenues and heads south to Veterans Boulevard. A number of local businesses and community organizations are expected to participate, along with schools, fire departments, and veterans groups. Former Chamber president and current board member Gary Slavin, along with Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder, will preside over the event as Grand Marshals. Mark your calendar for 11 a.m. on Saturday, 3/15.

  • Patchogue Shamrock Stroll Bar Crawl - That Meetball Place, 54 W. Main St., Patchogue, NY 11772
You may not find the pot o' gold, but you're sure to meet plenty of great people at the Patchogue Shamrock Stroll Bar Crawl. Visit ten of the city's top pubs and bars for an authentic Irish experience featuring holiday-themed specials on corned beef & cabbage, shepherd's pie, and beer. Be sure to dress up in a leprechaun costume or other appropriate green attire. Admission includes an after-party at That Meetball Place. Get ready to crawl from noon - 8 p.m. on Saturday, 3/15. Tickets start at $10.20

  • St. Patrick's Day at the Milleridge Inn - Milleridge Inn, 585 N. Broadway, Jericho, NY 11753
Why celebrate only one day when you can enjoy a weekend of fun? St. Patrick's Day at the Milleridge Inn features four days of holiday shenanigans in one of Long Island's iconic restaurants. The building dates back to 1672, but recent renovations provide some added interest while retaining the historic feel. Bagpipe players and dancers provide entertainment as you dine on authentic Irish food. There will also be special pricing on Irish beers, shots, and drinks. Festivities take place from Friday, 3/14, through Monday, 3/17. There is no cover charge, but reservations are required.

  • Wantagh St. Patrick's Day Parade - Wantagh High School, 3297 Beltagh Ave., Wantagh, NY 11793
Bigger is definitely better when it comes to the Wantagh St. Patrick's Day Parade, the largest St. Patrick's Day Parade on Long Island. Thousands of people gather to watch as bagpipe players, veterans, floats, marching bands, and more travel from Wantagh High School to the Wantagh Train Station. The honored position of Grand Marshal goes to Tommy Shevlin, President of the Nassau County Police Benevolent Association, with 25 years of service in law enforcement. The parade is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, 3/16.

  • Hampton Bays St. Patrick's Day Parade - American Legion, 55 Ponquogue Ave., Hampton Bays, NY 11946
If a day or a weekend isn't enough, extend that holiday feeling at the Hampton Bays St. Patrick's Day Parade. After a respite in 2024, the popular event is back for the eighteenth year. The procession of bands, floats, fire departments, and other colorful participants will head down Montauk Highway past hundreds of delighted viewers. Joe Fellingham, a lifelong active member of the Hampton Bay community, serves as the unanimous choice for Grand Marshal. The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Saturday, 3/22.
