Suffolk County's Belmont Lake State Park will once again host its annual Great Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Sail on October 26, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm. The event will include Halloween-themed events like crafts, games, a petting zoo, a "Spooky Den" created by the park staff, and pumpkin carving. As has become tradition, the first 50 jack-o-lanterns to be registered for the event will be pushed out onto the lake on flotation devices with candles aglow at the end of the day.

An annual Halloween party hosted by the Long Island Aquarium, Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks will return this year on October 26 from 10am to 4pm. In addition to being a great chance to see all the animals that call the aquarium home, Bats, Barnacles & Broomsticks will include kids' crafts, trick or treating, raffle prizes and giveaways. Kids 12 and under who arrive in costume will receive 50% off admission with a paying adult.
