The Vanderbilt Museum consists of the Eagles Nest, a 24-room Spanish Revival mansion, and a planetarium that offers educational programming. It's an excellent opportunity to learn all about Long Island's Gold Coast era. The museum is open Fridays from 12 to 4 and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 to 4.
