Head outdoors and enjoy these holiday attractions that are fun for the whole family.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, especially when it comes to local events around Long Island. There is so much to do around the holidays, but our real estate agents enjoy the wonderful light displays the most. Holiday light displays are affordable, fun for the whole family, and can really help you get into the Christmas spirit. Here is a quick list of the light displays we're looking forward to the most:

  • A Stroll With Santa - 100 Jericho Turnpike, Westbury, NY 11590
This wonderful animated Children's story takes place at Hicks Nurseries from November 14 to December 31. A Stroll With Santa is a walkthrough Christmas story featuring Santa and his elves for kids. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for the Long Island Cares food drive. Kids can also mail Santa a letter with a self-addressed stamped envelope and will receive a reply in the mail!

  • Illuminate The Farm - 73-50 Little Neck Pkwy, Queens, NY 11004
Come see over 1,000 lights at Queens Farm at Illuminate The Farm, part of the NYC Winter Lantern Festival. You'll see a spectacular array of hand-made lanterns spread out over 6 acres. This immersive experience is fun for kids and adults, and it takes place from November 11 to January 8. Tickets are $28.99 for adults and $19.99 for kids aged 3-12.

  • Riverhead Holiday Light Show - 2549 Splish Splash Dr, Calverton, NY 11933
Thousands of lights and hundreds of holiday-themed displays highlight one of the best Christmas events in Suffolk County. Riverhead Holiday Light Show is a drive-thru tour that allows you to view the best local holiday lights from the warmth and comfort of your own vehicle. Tickets are $25 per carload or $62.50 per carload for a season pass.

  • Winter Wonderland - 663 Wading River Rd, Manorville, NY 11949
The Waterdrinker Family Farm is the place to be around the holiday season, as their Winter Wonderland event is tons of fun. Enjoy numerous activities such as U-Pick Christmas Trees, a holiday light display, an airstream Christmas Village, barnyard animals, a gingerbread village, mini-golf, and much more! Admission is $20 per person and free for children under 2.

  • Nassau Drive-Thru Adventure - One Museum Dr, Roslyn, NY 11576
This immersive drive-thru experience takes place at the Nassau County Museum of Art, and it's one of the best around. Nassau Drive-Thru Adventure is an immersive experience full of beautiful lights, tunnels, lanterns, and more. The event runs Thursdays through Sundays from 5 pm to 9 pm until January 8, and admission is $50 per car. The best part is this drive-thru event is just down the road from our favorite Roslyn Heights homes for sale.

  • Suffolk Winter Lantern Festival - 239 E Main St, Smithtown, NY 11787
The Suffolk Winter Lantern Festival takes place at the Smithtown Historical Society, and it's one of our favorites. Come see unique lantern displays of animals, flowers, dinosaurs, and more. There are also plenty of great photo ops, so come prepared! The event runs Fridays through Sundays from 5:30 to 9:30 up until January 8. General admission is $22, and youth tickets are $12. If you like this neighborhood, you'll love these nearby Smithtown homes for sale.
