January
10

A new color can completely transform a space. Luckily for you, the top paint manufacturers just announced their favorite colors for 2022.

An interior redesign is often a New Years Resolution, and January is the perfect time to begin making your plans. If you need a little bit of inspiration, our real estate agents always recommend checking out the 2022 colors of the year.

Every winter, paint manufacturers announce their picks for colors of the year. These tones often reflect current trends as well as the overall state of the world. They're always beautiful and can really help drive new ideas for creative design in your home. If you're looking to make your interior stand out like these Brooklyn homes for sale, here are some of our favorite picks for the 2022 colors of the year.

  • Very Peri - Pantone
One of the reasons we love Very Peri is it's the perfect mix between calm and vibrant. It's a rich periwinkle that brings all the comfort of a traditional blue, yet it bursts with a bright, violet/red undertone. It's warm, comfortable, and friendly which makes it a great color for the kid's room. It can also pair well with any color group, so it's easy to add furniture and decor.

  • Guacamole - Glidden
Another color that does a great job of combining both relaxing and vibrant elements is Guacamole by Glidden. This calming, fresh shade of green packs a bit of a punch, and it's a great choice for a kitchen or bathroom. Pair it with a nice white or an earthy brown for a beautiful color scheme.

  • Breezeway - Behr
One of our favorite colors is Breezeway, as it's not only light and refreshing, but it really helps to reflect light and brighten up the room. It's a very soft mix of blue and green with the perfect silver tint. Breezeway is a great choice if you're planning to repaint the living room. It mixes well with either whites and light neutrals or black accents.

  • Olive Sprig - PPG
Olive Sprig is another nice shade of green that is comforting, calming, and optimistic. It's a mid-tone shade with an earthy influence and has a bit of a silver or gray tint that helps it reflect natural light. This color would look great in a living room, bedroom, or bathroom, and it's versatile, so it really matches anything.

  • Art and Craft - Dunn-Edwards
A beautiful shade of walnut brown, Art and Craft is a great shade for the home office or living room. Its richness helps to ground the room and provides a nice sense of stability, but it's warm and inviting too. If it's too dark for you, you can easily lighten up with some lighter neutral accents.

  • Laurel Leaf - Better Homes & Gardens
Many of us have spent more time outdoors over the last couple of years, and Laurel Leaf by Better Homes & Gardens is a great way to bring the subtle nature green into your home. This color is only available at Walmart, and it's a fresh, organic light shade of green. It matches well with milky whites or beiges and can look great in the living room or the bedroom.

It's always fun to see what the new year will bring in terms of interior design trends. For more home improvement tips, contact us today.
